“Real Food Wins” Says the Government – How Far Will You Really Go?

Did you watch the Super Bowl yesterday?

Then you saw something unprecedented: The United States government spending millions of dollars on prime-time advertising to tell Americans to stop eating processed food.

Let that sink in.

The same federal agencies that brought us the infamous 1992 Food Pyramid telling us to eat 6-11 servings of bread daily while our obesity and diabetes rates exploded just launched a complete reversal. Their message? “Eat Real Food.”

And America needed to hear it.

What Just Changed (And Why It Matters)

For the first time in history, official U.S. dietary guidance explicitly tells Americans to avoid highly processed foods. Not “eat in moderation.” Not “balance your diet.” Avoid.

The new guidelines at realfood.gov call out the culprits:

  • Packaged snacks with added sugars and salt
  • Artificial flavors and petroleum-based dyes
  • Sugar-sweetened beverages
  • Foods engineered for shelf life and addictiveness rather than nourishment

The statistics they’re finally acknowledging are staggering:

  • 50% of Americans have prediabetes or diabetes
  • 75% of adults have at least one chronic condition
  • 90% of healthcare spending goes to chronic disease
  • Nearly 70% of American children’s diets are ultra-processed

This isn’t news to anyone paying attention. But it’s monumental that the government is finally saying it out loud.

Here’s What They Won’t Tell You

I’ve been living this truth since December 6, 2009 my mother’s birthday, the day I made a commitment that changed my life.

Not next week. Not New Year’s Day. That day.

For 16+ years, I’ve maintained a 100% plant-based raw food lifestyle. No processed foods. No refined sugars, salts, or oils. No dairy. No grains. No animal products. Nothing cooked above 118°F.

If it’s not made by Mother Nature, it’s not going on my plate.

That’s not a slogan. That’s my trademark. That’s my life. That’s my health.

And here’s what that commitment has given me:

Where the Government Stopped Short

The new federal guidelines are a massive step forward. But they stopped at the edge of the cliff when they should have jumped.

They still recommend:

  • Animal proteins (meat, chicken, seafood)
  • Full-fat dairy products
  • Cooking and processing foods
  • Whole grains (2-4 servings daily)

They’re silent on what I call the “5 Slow Poisons”:

  1. Refined Sugar – Even “natural” sweeteners in processed forms
  2. Refined Salt – Stripped of minerals, added everywhere
  3. Processed Oils – Industrial seed oils destroying cellular health
  4. Dairy – Designed for baby cows, not adult humans
  5. Grains – Even “whole” grains create inflammatory responses

The government took a step. I’m asking you to take the leap.

The Energy System Dysfunction Nobody’s Talking About

Here’s the truth they won’t put on realfood.gov:

Chronic disease isn’t a collection of separate conditions requiring separate treatments. It’s an energy system dysfunction at the cellular level.
